USQ - Bachelor of Applied Media
My Uni course has taught me the essentuals of the media industry in operations, production and networking. TV, film and radio were just the base areas of expertise, where the course allowed room for growth in other areas.  With my technical and operational skills in both production and post-production, I merged my communication, marketing and creative media skills to produce work of an industry standard for any style client.
Connected was TV show produced by the BAM students of USQ, aired on Bris31.  I Directed this episode and supervised the audio mix for Mark Lowndes performance, fresh from contesting on Australia's Got Talent.
I mixed audio for this ambient piece from The Winter of Reason, recorded in USQ's TV studio hall.  A local Brisbane duo with a heavenly sound.
I was a co-producer and co-host for urban radio show Boombox.  I was Zapow, who created stingers and audio cues on Pro-tools for the show, while Raunation interviewed underground artists via skype, voxpops and phone.  The show is still running on Pheonix Radio and is simulcated Digitally on SWITCH Digital Radio.
Since my time at Phoenix Radio (USQ's own online radio station), the programming was powered by it's Media students.  I took up the task of providing vox-pops and stingers to add a radio image to the station.  Phoenix Media is forever expanding with the course of Arts and soon will be broadcast on their own FM and Digital frequency.  Here is something I whipped up for the station while I was working on other assignments.
Second Year Short Film production required teams to write, produce and distrubute a short film.  I pitched this idea for a short film after writting the screenplay, Directed the Photography and worked on Post Audio mix.  I produced my own foley work for the fight scenes. There was some discrepancies in post over creative control, it was taken as a learning curve. I look at it now and cringe at some moments but I'm proud at how much we achived in such short time.  It only took two nights to film, the cast and crew came together and worked hard to wrap up into the night.

I still think the end result is cohensive enough to tell a story. I'll leave that up to the audience to decide.
